Do you prefer short or long crown?

This 45 year old female patient was treatment planned to have a crown on her lower back tooth. I proposed tissue grafting prior to crown placement to cover the exposed root.

The advantages of tissue grafting include:
1. Have shorter crown length on a tooth
2. Place crown margin on enamel and not the root
3. Avoid trimming the root
4. Have less tooth sensitivity
5. Reduce the chance of needing a root canal.
6. Have esthetically pleasing patient
7. Have more hygienic condition
8. Have biologically maintainable root coverage

Patient presented with sensitivity issue on # 30. I have treated tooth with tissue grafting prior to crown delivery. The patient was happy with the outcome of her treatment.
