Tooth #25 was diagnosed hopeless by another office and was treatment planned for extraction. The patient was a 35 year old male who was deparate to keep the tooth because he could not afford any form of tooth replacement. Then I proposed tissue grafting aimed at salvaging the tooth. Not every "hopeless" tooth can be saved, but advances in periodontal treatment can sometimes enable us to pull a rabbit out of the hat and keep teeth that were once considered hopeless. The patient was happy and felt good about his teeth and his dentist. |
