The treatment goal is preventing root caries or treating existing root caries with gum grafting. The result of this reconstructive periodontal surgery is stable and helps to reduce root sensitivity as well. The patient is 65 years old female with chief complaint of cosmetic concern with upper left canine.   Patient has selected tissue grafting as an alternative to conventional treatment of patching the tooth with a white filling. She is happy with her decision and the outcome of her treatment.
